To You

“To you who’s had/having a rough week. To you who seems to be under constant storm clouds. To you who feels invisible. To you who don’t know how much longer you can hold on. To you who lost faith. To you who always blame yourself for everything that goes wrong. To you, you are incredible. You make this world a little bit more wonderful. You have so much potential and so many things left to do. You have time. Better things are coming your way, so please hang in there you can do it.”
-Jodi Ann Bickley

These words always relieve me when things get heavy in this life journey, I hope they do the same for you too

You can’t be a King/Queen with an emotional tolerance of a baby!

My title to me explains a lot and changes how I view and react to things that are somewhat unpleasant. The reality is that we are all dealing with different situations and circumstances, all I can do is tell my story in the hopes that it will make a difference somewhere in somebody’s life. A lot of my previous posts were about acceptance and personal development, things that I am always looking to reinforce and adopt as part of my life.
In the past few months, I have realized that the more I become better at what I do, stronger and more accepting of situations around me, things do not necessarily get better and it gets frustrating at some point. At first, I would try to fight it and worry about how things are not getting better, ask questions like “why is this happening to me?” and have all kinds of pessimistic thoughts about my future until I finally figured it out.
“you can never be great if you are not willing to go through it, and view survival/success as the only options you have!”. This took me back to emotional intelligence and how we sometimes let our emotions rule us and how we view the world. Your problems don’t stay behind as you grow, they come along and grow with you, you can fight it all you want but that’s just how it is. Some problems you out grow but the space will always be filled up by something else and you need to stay ready and know that it’s to be expected. It’s also part of acceptance!
The best you could do is create an ideal situation for yourself and dedicate yourself to it, that’s what I do. I visualize my future and how I want it to be and dedicate myself to reaching that point in life, by doing this I can also consider the possible hurdles I could encounter, and think about possible ways of overcoming them even before they happen. It’s more like a preparation thing where I orientate myself to the future I would like to have, while also acknowledging that nothing is ever easy and I will have to go through situations/circumstances before I get there, and even when I get there they’ll still be something I am dealing with so it’s not even about trying to escape from anything.

My final word to anyone reading this is that “realize your potential, and know that not everything has to disturb you and your focus in achieving all that you want. You are a King/Queen and you have the power to change your life!”.

Choose happiness

The choice we make, contributes to the biggest part of who we are it doesn’t matter if they are good or bad but the fact is we are the once who are responsible of our future.

Be your own chauffeur and steer your future to a place where you will live happily ever after and bare in mind that to live a happy life doesn’t always mean you have to have a lot of money in the bank you can be happy with a bank account that doesn’t have seven figures. Happiness is a choice and it is a lifestyle it doesn’t always have to be materialistic.

There are many people in this world who wake up with a choice of being happy in their life but when you look into how they are living you would questions their happiness.

Growing up I was taught that joys comes from within I remember clearly my teacher used to compare it with a chicken egg and he would go on and say that if chicken egg was to be from the outside we would have same all eggs we eat for breakfast but if it would hatch from the inside out we will witness life. What he meant was that the joy/happiness we seek outside is toxic to us because it comes and it goes but the happiness that comes from inside its eternal and it needs no influence it just happen.

That is the way of life

Finding Courage

It’s been quite a while since my last post that is mainly because I have a lot in my plate lately and finding the time to write has been quite difficult.

Embracing positive change doesn’t only mean we have to post once after a while but it’s a lifestyle we try by all means to live it and put it in our everyday life and I can say that life itself is discouraging, we all want to grow up but when we do, we realize that its not as easy as  we thought and that leads to a number of us being greatly discouraged.

When I was young I remember I was field with big ideas, I was energetic, looking forward to living and exploring life itself everything felt possible, now that I’m older I realize that the idea I had about life was not what life is and that is  be discouraging, I thought that I can be anything but now I know that there are places I can’t reach because of the limited resources and I also know that there are places that these limited resources can help me reach but some people don’t see that that’s why most of them are discouraged by their reality and I can say that cause it took me a while for me to realize that too.

And with this being said no amount of motivation can help people who feel they are suffering in the hands of their reality, they are the only one who can help themselves.
It takes a lot of courage for a discouraged person to stand

It has Been a While

it’s been a long time since my last post, and a lot has happened between now and then. I’ve both encountered and grown from every experienced instance, and there’s always a story to tell about every situation. I’m currently doing my final year for my undergraduate degree, and although I still have a long way to go before I can call myself an Industrial psychologist I am highly grateful for the place I’m at today. I’ve gotten used to the culture of working hard for all that you want so I’m not even going to talk about the work load or even any other academic challenge because I spent sleepless nights to ensure that I also get to where I want to see myself in future.

opportunity also came and changed my life through a part time job which is wonderful because I can now start assisting myself and save up for next year as I’ll be looking to get a formal job while I complete my postgraduate studies part time. it’s a wonderful experience and I get to also teach myself the skills needed to work effectively with others and relate some of the things I study with real-life work situations, it’s the part I enjoy the most about the experience.

there are always the things that resist change, that insist on giving you the same feeling repeatedly irrespective of any situational change. things that if looked at closely can end up with a deep ache or a place that is best forgotten. Over time we learn to manage, to cope and survive the effects leading some sense of freedom from the clutches of our strongholds. this is something I have mastered, and it has completely altered my emotional responses to things, circumstances and situations.

I am not afraid anymore, I have faith, and hope drives me to work towards achieving my greatest desires.
